This week's pick for the perfect place to have an animal adventure is the Milwaukee County Zoo! Nestled into the heart of Downtown Milwaukee is 190 acres of spectacular species and fun for all ages. As one of the country's finest zoological attractions, the Milwaukee County Zoo is home to over 2,100 mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, and reptiles. The zoo has a renown reputation as a leader in animal management, conservation, research and education within a wholesome recreational environment.

While walking around the park, guests learn about species from all over the world, and even a few species that are "locally grown." Guests also have the unique opportunity to participate in activities such as the Ocean Connections Seal and Sea Lion Show, Birds of Prey Show, and Kohl's Wild Theater. These attractions not only immerse the audience, but also bring light to the many amazing animals that call this zoo their home.

 

But this zoo isn't just one big animal attraction. Scattered around the zoo are multiple food and rest stops so zoo-goers can grab a bite to eat, take in the beautiful nature around them, and then get up and go! And if you are jealous of the high climbing monkeys or the free flying birds of prey, then the Sky Adventure Ropes Courses and Zip Line are for you! Kids can let their imaginations run wild on this 4 story rope course with rope elements like zig zag beams, cargo nets, and more. Topped out with a zip line that has your soaring 500 feet in the air, you are in for a tree-top level adventure. Or maybe you would rather wind down and relax on the colorful carousel or sky high sky safari. And to end the day, perhaps one more sight of all the amazing animals you saw with a ride on the Safari Train to all your favorite animal spots.
